Filming has commenced on the Bourne Legacy with the first snaps of Rachel Weisz now on line. She’s said to be playing a character who’s “an operative from a covert government program that is even more dangerous than the Treadstone brainwashing program that hatched Bourne”. Jeremy Renner who’s seemingly taking over the franchise has his hands full completing work on ‘The Avengers’ at the moment, but with production underway, it’s a sure bet he’ll be joining Weisz in New York anytime soon.
While it’s a big let down that the flick is going ahead without series star Matt Damon, it’s thought that one day he might be able to reprise his role with this film serving as a concurrent story in the ‘Bourne’ scheme of things.
