A new mind blowing three-minute trailer for Prometheus which plays like a mini movie has gone online to ramp up interest in what marks director Ridley Scott‘s return to the genre ‘he helped define’.
Charlize Theron’s character, Meredith Vickers sets the stage for the mission the crew will go on and we see more of how Noomi Rapace and Logan Marshall-Green‘s characters are just hoping to find answers to the questions that haunt mankind.
That said the new trailer gives us a closer look at the alien terror that the crew of Prometheus encounter, however unlike the familiar incarnation, this will be a new kind of alien species. This has many fans curious about the similarities to the horror encountered by the crew of Nostromo in the 1979 original. However this time round the crew seems to endure an alien infection rather than being attacked by the well known face hugger, leading to a transformation or a DNA evolution which may just create an alien hybrid – or possibly the Xenomorph which we know and love / fear.
The film also stars Michael Fassbender, Idris Elba and Guy Pearce.
