The first trailer for Oscar-winner Ang Lee‘s highly anticipated adaptation of the Yann Martell-penned novel, The Life of Pi has gone online.
The flick is set to take the realm of 3D to a whole new level, with it’s stunning imagery and surreal narrative that’s generating plenty of buzz for creating a truly immersive experience.
There was plenty of debate over the years that it was near impossible to translate Yann Martel‘s best-selling 2001 novel, which follows the story of a 17-year-old boy trapped on a boat with a Bengal tiger. The flick was made in Taiwan using eight soundstages filled with water.
It’s shaping up to be a stand-out from the rest of this year’s releases. The film was originally set to open in December, but was recently brought forward to November.
