A somewhat disturbing new red-band trailer has been released for director Harmony Korine‘s Spring Breakers. The story focuses on a group of co-eds (played by Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez, Ashley Benson, and Rachel Korine) who in an effort to keep their spring break going, commit an armed robbery to help fund their wild indulgences. This catches the eye of a bad-ass drug dealing psychopath known as Alien, (James Franco) who bails them out of jail and encourages their criminal endeavours to the point of convincing them to kill his nemesis.

Brit (Ashley Benson), Candy (Vanessa Hudgens), Cotty (Rachel Korine) and Faith (Selena Gomez) have been best friends since grade school. They live together in a boring college dorm and are hungry for adventure. All they have to do is save enough money for spring break to get their shot at having some real fun.
A serendipitous encounter with rapper “Alien” (James Franco) promises to provide the girls with all the thrill and excitement they could hope for.
