Earlier this week Collider got to sit down with Colin Farrell during the press junkets for Peter Weir’s new movie The Way Back, which tells the true story of a group of soldiers who escape from a Siberian prison and journey across the harsh Asian terrain in order to reach British India.
Towards the end of the interview the topic turned to his upcoming remakes of Fright Night (which he’s already filmed) and Total Recall that’s set to start shooting in March. Len Wiseman is directing the remake of the 1990 Arnold Schwarzenegger megahit which will be shot at Pinewood Toronto Studios and is reportedly the most expensive movie made there with a budget of $200 million.
The role has been offered to the star though in the interview he says that he’s still on the fence but adds that the production is looking amazing and the script is clever. He talks passionately about his work as an actor and regardless of how successful a movie will be, he can only do is his best and see how things work out.
It’s a fascinating interview that offers some interesting snippets of info about these productions.
