The Green Hornet is currently number one at the U.S Box Office and doing quite well seeing it was the punching bag for hardcore comic enthusiasts who were against changes to the story, casting and just about everything else. Opinions started to change in recent months when the first screenings proved favorable and now that it’s finally released people can go judge for themselves.
It’s got the usual Seth Rogen flair for comedy, even though he might not be as funny since doing the whole ‘weight watchers’ thing, but here’s a guy that knows how to make scenes work and does so with charm. His co-star Jay Chou who’s a Taiwanese pop sensation does a very worthy job and their on screen pairing is definitely a stroke of brilliance. The bad guy Chudnofsky, played by Christoph Waltz is somewhat less developed as is the love interest Lenore played by Cameron Diaz.
Though one of the main reasons for seeing a flick like this is the over the top violence and super cool stunts as well as the fights that are a stand out when things go into 3D “Kato-Vision”.
These featurettes show some impressive car tricks that look pretty cool from these videos. There’s also a behind the scenes with the actors and B-Roll vision on set, as well as a look at Kato’s fights and the Green Hornet car.
