Here’s an interesting bit of news, word is that Marvel Studios are said to be planning one of their first big character spin-offs. Whilst Iron Man 3 looks set to be in limbo for a while with Jon Favreau jumping ship due to the prospect of it becoming a cross-over sequel of sorts, the studios are prepping a replacement model.
Don Cheadle who took over the reigns of Lt. Col. James ‘Rhodey’ Rhodes from Terence Howard in the first movie, became War Machine in the second flick and confirmed that a spin-off revolving around his character is in the works.The script is being developed which means Marvel is serious about extending the life of their franchise. He also gave a hint that despite being listed as appearing in Josh Whedon’s ‘Avengers’ movie he claims that he’s not in it, at least for now.
