Pixar has released a thirty second preview of the Toy Story themed short Hawaiian Vacation that will debut in front of Cars 2. The new mini adventure follows the iconic favorites Ken and Barbie with the rest of the gang lending a helping hand.
Seeing that Toy Story 3 is the most successful film in animated history, there’s plenty of reason to expect another installment a few years down the road, and these shorts certainly help keep the anticipation and fondness of the characters going.
‘Hawaiian Vacation’ centers around Ken and Barbie who fail to make it to their holiday destination after attempting to stow away in Bonnie’s backpack. They are instead cheered up by the gang who take on tropical roles to help “re-create a romantic getaway in the toy box.”
Cars 2 is set for release date, June 24th, 2011 – Bullseye, Buttercup, Dolly, Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jesse, Rex, Aliens, Mrs. Potato Head, Mr. Potato Head, Hamm, Mr. Pricklepants, Slinky Dog and Trixie will see you there.
