Warner Bros and Yahoo have released the second theatrical trailer for Arthur starring Russell Brand in the role that defined Dudley Moore‘s later career. This time around his character is somewhat different, in contrast to Dudley’s alcoholic mega-rich buffoon, Brand’s character is more of a man-child that is yet to embrace the responsibilities of life.
It’s good to see a more family friendly version of the story that promotes accepting change rather than causing chaos. The new trailer has a few new jokes, if you haven’t seen the first then it’s all new – hopefully they’ve saved the best for the movie, unlike some promos that give away far too much.
Arthur stars Russell Brand, Greta Gerwig, Helen Mirren, and Jennifer Garner and opens April 8th, 2011.
