Summit Entertainment and Yahoo have released the first five minutes of the new Jake Gyllenhaal sci-fi flick Source Code. If you’re unsure about seeing the movie then this is a good way to find out if you’re gonna like it, odds are that if the opening grabs your attention, then you should enjoy what the movie has to offer.
‘Megamind’ had a similar marketing tactic by offering up the first five minutes prior to it’s release, which benefited the film without compromising the story.
Watching this excerpt might blow the momentum so you may want to hold off – if you feel yourself getting hooked, hit the pause button. Source Code is described as an ‘inventive, thoughtful, and thrilling movie’ and is directed by Duncan Jones. While there are some mixed opinions, it’s a good way to bypass those reviews and make up your own mind.
The film stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Vera Farmiga, Michelle Monaghan, and Jeffrey Wright.
Source Code opens April 1st, 2011.
