Keanu was involved in developing this movie for sometime, and it premiered last year at the Toronto International Film Festival before securing a distribution deal. When he was interviewed at the Festival by Steve ‘Frosty’ Weintraub of Collider, he spoke of his admiration for Caan, his performance in Henry’s Crime as well as his approach to acting.

The flick sees Reeves playing Henry, a loner wandering aimlessly through life working the night shift as a toll collector on a lonely stretch of highway. His life takes a strange turn when he becomes an unwitting participant in a bank heist and rather than giving up the names of the real culprits, he’s sent to jail. There he meets Max played by Caan,  who helps him see life a bit differently and when he’s released from jail the next year, he decides that he may as well do the crime for which he did the time.

A quirk of fate has him meet Julie, the leading lady of a stage play that’s in the theater above an old bootlegger’s tunnel that leads to the bank. He soon enlists the help of his paroled cellmate to concoct a plan that also involves infiltrating the theater production. Though not everything goes according plan and Henry starts to fall for Julie with the crime taking it’s own twist and turns.

Henry’s Crime opens April 8th, 2011.
