The Sixth Season of Doctor Who kicks off this month with a simultaneous worldwide release – so no-one will have to wait and can catch the broadcast in HD.
After the recent Christmas Carol special, it marks the second season with Matt Smith in the titular role, and showrunner Steven Moffat has said that the new season will be split into two parts – with a significant cliffhanger serving as the mid season finale to keep fans guessing.
The new promo promises an exiting season with some questions answered such as the character of River Song revealed in the 4 episodes ‘Silence in the Library’ and ‘Forest of the Dead.’
BBC has also released a prequel to the first episode of Series 6 – ‘The Impossible Astronaut’.
Doctor Who premieres April 23 on BBC One, BBC America & ABC2 (Australia)
