Here’s the newest trailers for The Muppets movie which stars Jason Segel and Amy Adams and reunites the beloved characters, though the poster is a bit misleading – lets face it they’re still muppets. Hopefully the flick has some new tricks that was always a staple of the earlier films where Jim Henson would come up with innovative ways to bring them to life – the memorable bike ride with Miss Piggy and Kermit was a stand-out.
The new film is directed by ‘Flight of the Conchords’ writer/ producer James Bobin who along with star Segel are big fans of the Muppets and are hoping to make this a return to the classic vibe. While the characters are no longer portrayed by the original muppeteers, the voices sound spot on so it looks like this has been a labor of love for all involved so lets hope it all comes together.
The Muppets opens November 23rd, 2011.
