When it was announced that Catwoman would feature in the next Batman flick, there was plenty of debate and speculation as to how this character would look with so many interpretations gone before. Now Warner Bros has released the first official image of Anne Hathaway playing Catwoman, but interestingly she’s riding the Batpod rather than her own feline form of transportation. This suggests her character is more closely aligned with Bruce Wayne / Batman and may even be stepping in on his behalf after the caped crusader becomes incapacitated at the hands of Tom Hardy‘s Bane.

Compared to Batman’s high-tech armored suit, Catwoman’s outfit isn’t very distinct and her goggles obscure most of her expression – however this helps complete the illusion in the shots where her stunt double can be seen traversing the steps of Gotham courts. Her trendy glasses are likely hi-tech and provide on screen information to make her the more niftier rider.
Similar to Nolan’s previous Batman flicks, the comic book characters are grounded in reality and this first glimpse of Catwoman offers a better indication of how she fits into the scheme of things.
Recent spectator vision show a scene being filmed of a major brawl taking place between the police, some irate citizens and perhaps Bane’s henchman – Batman and Bane can also be seen in the various shots fighting in a blizzard of sorts.

It should truly be an amazing flick – but for now it’s all in director Christopher Nolan‘s head, so we’ll just have to wait for it’s release before we can fully appreciate the scope of this final chapter. The film also stars Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, and Michael Caine.
