Filming on Brad Pitt‘s upcoming movie Cogan’s Trade has been completed and with it comes the first official image of his character in enforcer mode. Playing the shotgun wielding Jackie Cogan, he’s the mob’s instrument of justice tasked with investigating the heist of a high stakes card game.
With his slick hair and leather jacket, Pitt looks ultra cool and definitely menacing so this should be a cool flick that’s full of snappy dialogue and stylised violence. In the story he he goes after two junkies who have jacked the poker game, played by Scoot McNairy from ‘Monsters’ and ‘Animal Kingdom’s’ Ben Mendelsohn.
The Weinstein Company has already scored domestic distribution rights for the new flick which also stars Ray Liotta as the hustler running the game, Richard Jenkins who’s a lawyer with inside info, James Gandolfini as an alcoholic hit man and Vincent Curatola as an ex-con seeking revenge.
Cogan’s Trade is eyeing an early release in 2012.
