The first trailer is here for Flight, director Robert Zemeckis return to live action films since Cast Away twelve years ago. Denzel Washington plays a commercial airline pilot who heroically performs a miraculous landing of a disabled jet, only to endure persecution as the real reasons behind the near-catastrophe are explored.
The trailer shows off the filmmakers’ skill at creating epic imagery and directing drama filled with emotional highs and lows. The story by John Gatins’ (Real Steel), delves into the unraveling of Washington’s heroic facade when his history of drug and alcohol abuse are brought into question. Oscar winner Melissa Leo plays an investigator determined to expose the truth, and John Goodman plays a friend who helps him come to terms with his dilemma.
