HICK Starring Chloe Moretz and Blake Lively – First Trailer

The first trailer is here for Derick Martini‘s adaptation of Andrea Portes’ novel, Hick.  The film stars Chloe Moretz as Luli, a 13-year-old Nebraska girl who runs away from home to escape her mom’s alcoholic boyfriends, with hopes of seeking fame.  She crosses paths with the “troubled but spirited” Glenda played by Blake Lively, and together come across some creepy characters which include Eddie Redmayne, a drifter who Luli has the misfortune of meeting one night on the road.

The flick wasn’t overly well received at the Toronto Film Festival, but the trailer sells the film so it could be worth a look.

The film also stars Juliette Lewis, Rory Culkin, Anson Mount and Alec Baldwin.
