Insidious is the new horror flick from director James Wan and screenwriter Leigh Whannell who brought us the malevolent ‘Saw’ series. Now they’re turning their hand to the classic exorcism and demonic possession genre, teaming up with Oren Peli and the producers of the first ‘Paranormal Activity’ flick. It’s already getting good reviews after premiering at the recent Toronto International Film Festival.
When proud parents Rose Byrne and Patrick Wilson buy an old house to renovate and make their new home, their son falls prey to a freak accident and lies helpless in a coma.Things get decidedly worse when they are beset by vengeful spirits from another realm.
It could be quite a scary flick and worth a look when it arrives in cinemas.
Insidious opens April 1, 2011.
