Here’s the first trailer for the new Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts flick, Larry Crowne. It’s shaping up to be one of those feelgood movies that’s also about the challenges of life and overcoming adversity. The story centers on Hanks who after being laid off from the company he’s worked at since leaving the navy, he finds himself with little to do and with bills piling up so he decides to go back to college. His fellow students are in similar predicaments and whilst there he also strikes up a relationship with one of his professors played by Julia Roberts.
The simple guy who has every reason to think his life has stalled will come to learn an unexpected lesson: when you think everything worth having has passed you by, you just might discover your reason to live.
The film also stars Bryan Cranston, Cedric the Entertainer, Taraji P. Henson, Gugu Mbatha Raw, Wilmer Valderrama, Pam Grier, Rami Malek, George Takei, Grace Gummer, Rita Wilson and Jon Seda.
Larry Crowne opens July 1, 2011.
