The search is over for the actor to play John McClane’s son in 20th Century Fox’s upcoming fifth installment of the Die Hard franchise, A Good Day to Die Hard.
Jai Courtney who was seen last on the Starz series Spartacus: Blood and Sand, recently landed the part beating out Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth. Courtney recently played opposite Tom Cruise in One Shot and alongside Aaron Eckhart in I, Frankenstein.
The new entry in the franchise sees the action move to Moscow, with son Jack McClane and father working together “to keep each other alive and the world safe for democracy”. After the over the top events of the fourth flick, anything will be an improvement – but it still sounds like a bit of an extreme scenario that challenges the premise where an ordinary cop is put into an extra ordinary situation.
John Moore (Max Payne) will direct, so it’s hard to say how good this flick will turn out, but it’s always cool to see Bruce Willis back in the role that propelled him into super stardom.
