Joseph Kosinski made his directorial debut with Tron: Legacy, and even though the flick was light on character development and suffered from an underwhelming script, his incredible technical and visual skills were more than apparent. His follow up movie is entitled Oblivion, a sci-fi flick that’s based on the Radical Comics graphic novel he penned with Arvid Nelson. The film is set on a dystopian Earth, where drone repairman Jack Harper (Tom Cruise), is part of an ongoing operation to extract vital resources from the planet after a long war with a mysterious threat known as the Scav.
Everything changes when he rescues a beautiful stranger from a crashed spacecraft, and a new set of events are forced into motion as he begins to question everything he thought he knew. The film also stars Olga Kurylenko, Morgan Freeman, Andrea Riseborough, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, and Melissa Leo
