The new movie about to hit your local Cineplex is the Sci-Fi flick Skyline which boast significantly impressive special FX and what looks to be a very clever concept. Whilst the team behind the camera have a less than stellar directorial resume; Aliens Vs Predator Requiem being somewhat of a dud, The Brothers Strause have their own company and have been responsible for the FX seen in some of the biggest films this decade.
This means these boys get to hang out with mega talented filmmakers and in part help bring their vision to life so it’s safe to say that some of the talent has surely rubbed off and they’ve created a film that panders to the Sci-Fi demographic. The movie resembles what the lackluster Independence Day was to fans back in the 90’s and the effects featured were the draw-card for that flick which became a massive hit. So if you like your movies big and you’re FX even bigger, then this should be worth the price of admission.
Check out the featured clips and you might just see a familiar face – that’s right it’s Turk (Donald Faison) from Scrubs – now that should be reason enough, hopefully he has some cool one-liners.
