A new trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man is here with the release date just months away. That said, the visuals are markedly improved over the last trailer with sequences now completed by the many special effect’s artists who have no doubt been working round the clock to get this thing ready.
Initially the sound of a reboot was somewhat painful to consider with Raimi’s flicks still so fresh, and initial set videos had Spidey’s stunt double doing most of the web swinging via cables. The claim was that the action would be on a more realistic level similar to Nolan’s Batman flicks, looking at this new trailer this is clearly not the case. Almost every visual is a high end special effect and the quality of these images will be all the more extraordinary when seen in 3D. The flick was shot on the same Red cameras that director Peter Jackson is using for his Hobbit prequels, but don’t expect the ground breaking higher frame rates the maverick director is employing.
While the narrative and performances will still need to be enthralling, the trailers’ aim is to sell the action, and this new one does a very good job. We get a great look at The Lizard who’s the bad guy of the piece and there’s some good chemistry going on between the stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone.
The new trailer bodes well the for this franchise reboot, and who knows, director Marc Webb‘s version of Spider-man might just be the one we’ve all been waiting for.
The film also stars Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field.
