Christopher Nolan’s conclusion to his Batman trilogy is almost here, and to heighten the already fever pitch anticipation – Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for The Dark Knight Rises. Billed as “the epic conclusion to filmmakery” we’re offered a closer look at Catwoman (Anne Hathaway) and the menacing impact which Bane (Tom Hardy), brings to the story and the mass destruction and mayhem he reigns upon Gotham.
The story hints at what most of us have hoped we’ll see from the pairing of the likes of Batman and Catwoman, plus the forces which they must go up against in order to save the city. While we’re offered lots of new visuals and a distinctive tone which shows Batman sustaining of crippling injury after his encounter with Bane, the under current which is suppose to feature the likes of the League of Shadows and the legacy of Ra’s Al Ghul, is still being kept under wraps.
While the enthralling challenges and subsequent battles will surely make this a piece of incredible cinema, the film will incorporate more than an hour’s worth of IMAX imagery, making this movie bigger in scope than any previous Hollywood blockbuster.
The film also stars Christian Bale, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, andMichael Caine.
The Dark Knight Rises opens July 20, 2012.
