The Three Musketeers are coming back to cinemas with a modern updating coupled with today’s blistering visuals and well choreographed action. The new trailer looks pretty entertaining with ‘Percy Jackson’ star Logan Lerman playing the musketeer in training D’Artagnan, with Luke Evans as Aramis, Ray Stevenson as Porthos and Matthew Macfadyen as Athos.
The film is from ‘Resident Evil’ and ‘Death Race’ director Paul W.S. Anderson, and also stars his wife Milla Jovovich playing M’lady De Winter in what looks to be an action role. Orlando Bloom is playing the Duke of Buckingham who’s the nemesis of the trio along with Christoph Waltz as the Cardinal Richelieu. Juno Temple plays Queen Anne in the period piece, the talented young actress was excellent as the obsessive schoolgirl in ‘Cracks’ and recently joined the cast of the upcoming ‘The Dark Knight Rises’.
Synopsis:
The hot-headed young D’Artagnan along with three former legendary but now down on their luck Musketeers must unite and defeat a beautiful double agent (Jovovich) and her villainous employer (Christoph Waltz) from seizing the French throne and engulfing Europe in war.
