THOR – Trailer #2 Kenneth Branagh Interview

The second trailer for the eagerly awaited comic book movie Thor is here. Though somewhat similar to the first trailer, it’s all starting to look pretty exciting with some cool visuals and more of the film’s FX featured.

Its hard to imagine these characters coming to life a few decades ago, but now with the current standards of digital film-making and top notch CGI, these comic book creations can truly come to life.

Made under the watchful eye of director Kenneth Branagh, better known for his modern interpretations of classic Shakespearean stories,  he’s now getting the chance to bring his classical eye for storytelling to this fantastic realm.

Earlier this year when production was shooting outside of Los Angeles,  Steve ‘Frosty’ Weintraub of Collider got a chance to ask the director a few questions during a press visit. Kenneth was very enthusiastic about the movie which has been in development for years:

I’m making a really entertaining film that doesn’t insult the audience but isn’t trying to be a secret art film or anything. It’s just a big-hearted kind of account of these incredible characters who have lasted across the several thousand years of Norse mythology and the last 50 years of Marvel, who raided this mythology so brilliantly, with such imagination, that you’re really aware of a fantastic amount of talent behind you.
