Tranformers 3 – Set Footage and Cast Interviews

ON-SET

With principal photography completed on Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon, a teaser trailer is on the way and Michael bay has said that it will be attached to the Narnia and Tron sequels. Though this time around people are unsure of what to expect from the third installment after the second was an over the top bot-fest that seemed to forget just how good the original was.

With the departure of stunner Megan Fox after her non-flattering description of the uber filmmaker,  Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has replaced her as the new love interest for Shia La Beouf.

The newcomer has been modeling since 2003 for the likes of Abercrombie & Fitch, Clinique, DKNY and Ralph Lauren. In 2006 she began modeling for Victoria’s Secret and around that time Michael Bay was working on an Ad campaign for the lingerie label, and he remembered her potential when the time came to recast the role.

The Transformers movies are a large scale production and the actors are bound to get lost amidst the big FX and the set pieces which have to be coordinated, and though losing Megan will be hard for the fans, Shia was interviewed by MTV and had this to say about the recasting.

The newest addition to the cast is John Malkovich and he responded to the rumors about Michael Bay’s directorial style and gave insight into what it was like on set for him and for the newest cast member.

Whilst there will always be problems with a film of this scale, one such rumbling has been about the new 3d technology and the issues they’ve encountered using the 3d system – though Michael Bay responded, saying:

…We have had problems with our 3D????” Really? Come into my edit room and I will show you beautiful 3D. There has never been a live action show that has pushed the boundaries of 3D like Transformers 3. We shot the entire movie with 3D cameras. I actually loved shooting in 3D. I will give full details of my process and why I liked 3D in the next week right before the Transformers announcement piece comes out on Tron and Narnia. And don’t watch this movie in 2D, we made it for 3D.
