Director Taylor Hackford’s new crime thriller flick Parker, based upon the writings of Donald E. Westlake, is shaping up to be more than the standard shoot-em up action fare. Jason Statham plays the titular character, who’s an honorable thief with something of a Robin Hood philosophy. Things go awry when after a lucrative job, his crew decide to double cross him with the treacherous Melander (The Shield‘s Michael Chiklis) leading the charge.
