Lady Gaga’s ‘Born This Way’ Video

lady-gaga_born-this-way_videoLady Gaga has debuted her new video for ‘Born This Way’ which is a bold and original kaleidoscope of sci-fi sexuality, with a concept created by the electro-pop diva herself.

It’s the story about the birth of a new race. A race that bears no prejudice and a race that’s primary sort of ambition in life is to inspire unity and togetherness.

Lady_Gaga-Born_This_WayIn a recent radio interview with Greg James, she said how she enjoyed the experience of making the video with photographer, Nick Knight and her choreographer, Laurieann Gibson.

I had an absolutely sublime time working on it. I actually did it with a UK filmmaker and very famous fashion photographer, Nick Knight.

I wrote the script for the video and the concept, and between himself and Laurieann Gibson, my choreographer, we really brought the story to life

The song is very meaningful to me, so I wanted to make something that would really show what was going on in my head when I wrote Born This Way.

Lady Gaga explained how the retro sci-fi themed video clip is a representation of her hopes to create worldwide unity, and the video depicts her birthing her own alien-like race.

In another interview with Grazia Magazine, Lady G talked candidly about her sexuality and while other pop stars get a reputation for parting and meaningless flings, the pop diva shed some light on her personal life and the need for meaningful relationships.

I never actually enjoyed sex until two years ago. It was a proper monogamous relationship in which I felt free enough to trust and I had enough self-love.

Sex is the ultimate expression of vulnerability and for me it was important to know that it was a proper relationship so it was sex as a source of love and nothing else.

Her new album ‘Born This Way’, is set for release on May 23, you can get it from iTunes.
